Aniversário

Olá!

Hoje temos um aniversário, por isso este postal. Foi feito de forma muito simples: comecei por criar o fundo, no canto inferior direito, com tinta e um stencil. Depois carimbei a mensagem dos carimbos Docerela. Pintei as flores e folhas, recortei-as e colei-as no postal e decorei com meias pérolas. Esta composição foi, no final, colada sobre a base do postal com a ajuda de fita dimensional.

Hi!

Today we have a birthday, so nothing better than a card to celebrate. This was made in a simple way: I used a stencil and some ink to create the yellow background. Then I stamped the sentiment, which is from the portuguese stamps by Docerela. I painted the flowers, fussy cut them and glued then to card. I finished with some half pearls and, at the back of this layer, I used some dimentional adhesive and glued it to the card base.

Cocktails e muito sol! Vinha mesmo a apetecer... mas está fresco aqui para o norte! Temos que adiar! Entretanto fica este postal com carimbos da Sunny Studio. Muito bonito, este chamado "Tropical Paradise". Estampei as imagens, dei-lhes cor e recortei-as. Cortei a base e apliquei um stencil e algumas tintas de distress em tons laranja e amarelo. Para o sentimento, usei pó de embossing. No final colei os diferentes elementos para o meu postal. A faixa com glitter que se vê no lado esquerdo foi feita com fita washi.

Cocktails and sun! Wish I had that.. but it's a bit cold here in the north of Portugal. We have to postpone the fun in the sun. In the mean time, let me show you this card made with the "ropical Paradise" stam set from unny Studio. Really love their stamps! 

I stamped the images, coloured and fussy cut them. Then, on a pice of white card stock, I used a stencil and some distress inks ( yellow and orange). For the sentment I used embossing powder just to give it a bit of shine. In the end I glued the different images onto the card. The gray gliter band you see on the left was made with washi tape.

Aniversário Especial

Olá e bem-vindos!

Hoje mostro um postal de aniversário feito com um carimbo, pó de embossing branco e aguarelas.

Comecei por estampar o carimbo da Mama Elephant "Organic Blooms" com pó de embossing muito fino branco em papel para aguarela. Depois de aquecer fiquei com os contornos da imagem delineados no papel. Com as aguarelas colori  a imagem, deixando ficar a cor mais espessa ou mais fluída conforme aquilo que eu imaginei serem as sombras das flores.  

No final usei vários papéis para compor o postal e terminei com algumas pérolas.

 Hello and welcome!

Today I'm showing a birthday card made with a stamp, some embossing powder and watercolours.

First I stamped the "Organic Blooms" stamp from Mama Elephant onto a piece of watercolor paper, using Versamark, and embossed it with white fine detail embossing powder. Then I used the watercolours with more or less water to create the shades for my flowers.

In the end I used some papers to create the card and finished with some half pearls.

Hoje o desafio em Less Is More é uma técnica que, traduzida do inglês, se chama "beijar". Na verdade é muito simples. 

Escolhi um carimbo de flores da Artemio e estampei a flor que queria, primeiro numa cor de fundo (laranja, por exemplo), depois passei essa flor por um outro carimbo (com letras) levemente manchado de castanho, Estampei em papel branco e aqui está o resultado. Depois de recortar as flores, fiz o arranjo no postal, tal como se vê nas fotos que vos deixo a seguir.

Today it's all about kissing, the technique, of course. I have to confess I had never tried this before but after following the instructions at Less Is More I knew I had to give it a go. 

First I chose my stamp, in this case an Artemio one I had in my stash. I stamped each flower in the base colour (in this case orange and yellow) and then I kissed the stamp onto another one with letters. To give that effect I used a brown ink. Finally I stamped the flower on a piece of white card stock and fussy cut it. In the middle of the flowers I decided to use some pearls, just to give it some bling.

And that's it for my learning process. Thank you Less Is More for teaching me!

Hoje mostro um postal de aniversário feito com cores neutras. 

A árvore é um cortante da Cheery Lynn Designs. Por trás usei um papel de tom mais escuro, que marquei com uma placa de embossing para dar à árvore o efeito de madeira.

Today my card is for a birthday. It was made using neutral colours. 

The die cut tree is from Cheery Lynn Designs and behind it I used a darker piece of paper embossed with a woodgrain embossing folder. A clean and simple card and idea.
